The Molecular Sieves are available in four different types . These types are unique and different from each other based upon its pore size and chemical composition .
TYPE 3A : Molecular Sieve is potassium form of aluminosilicate-zeolite. 3A will adsorb molecules whichhave a critical diameter less than three angstrom (He , H2 & CO)
TYPE 4A :Molecular Sieve is sodium form of aluminosilicate-zeolite. 4A will adsorb molecules whichhave a critical diameter less than four angstrom (CO2 , H2O & NH3)
TYPE 5A :Molecular Sieve is calcium form of aluminosilicate-zeolite. 5A will adsorb molecules whichhave a critical diameter less than five angstrom (CH3OH , C2H5OH & “Propane”)
TYPE 13X :Molecular Sieve is a modified form of sodium zeolite with a pore diameter of 10 angstrom.13X excludes molecules with effective diameter greater than 10 angstrom.
